Oak. Mills stops Seton Keough in soccer, 4-0 Girls sports

Senior striker Tricia Witte played a part on every scoring drive -- scoring a hat trick and adding an assist -- as visiting Oakland Mills posted a 4-0 soccer victory over Seton Keough (1-3).

Senior halfback Jessica Carson added a goal for the Scorpions (2-0), and freshman sweeper Michelle Osterberger had two assists.

* North Harford 3, Edgewood 0: Danielle Konschak scored two goals to lead the Hawks (3-0) past the Rams in a non-league matchup.

* Poly 5, Lake Clifton 2: Junior forward Olayemi Ikusika made a hat trick as host Poly (1-1, 1-0) defeated Lake Clifton in a Baltimore City League game.

* Arundel 5, Queen Anne's 0: Junior forward Shauna Donohue scored two goals to lead visiting Arundel (1-0) past Queen Anne's. Single-goal scorers for Arundel were senior fullback Cele Beach and sophomore midfielders Christie Nichols and Heather Frick.

Field hockey

* Calvert 1, Annapolis 0: Erin Shapira scored 6:40 into overtime as Calvert spoiled the season opener for host Annapolis (0-1).

Volleyball

* Oldfields 3, Mount Carmel 0: Junior Liz Hoogenboom had nine aces to lead host Oldfields (1-0, 1-0) over Mount Carmel (0-1, 0-1), 15-2, 15-2, 15-4, in an AIS match. Junior Abbie Johnson had five kills for Oldfields.

* North Carroll 3, Francis Scott Key 0: Katy Wilhelm led the Panthers (2-0) with 12 points and Candi Lippy added 10 to lead North Carroll past Francis Scott Key, 15-7, 15-12, 15-2. North Carroll's Joy Huber had 13 blocks and nine kills, and Jill Tringali added seven kills.
