Florida Marlins -- Agreed to terms with Fran Wren, assistant GM; Gary Hughes, scouting director and special assistant to the GM; and John Boles, director of player development, on two-year contract extensions through 1996.

Houston Astros -- Traded OF Chris James to the Texas Rangers for minor-league P Dave Gandolph.
