Local sales associate honored at convention

Wilma Brown of Taneytown was among the nation's top achievers honored on-stage by the Longaberger Co. at its national convention in August in Columbus, Ohio. The convention was attended by more than 6,000 people.

Mrs. Brown was recognized as a member of Longaberger's 1992-1993 VIP Club, which consists of sales associates who sold more than $30,000 in Longaberger products during the fiscal sales year. In addition, she was recognized as having one of the highest levels of sales achievement, selling more than $45,000 for the year.

Longaberger is a basket-making company that has 16,000 independent sales associates nationwide who sell the products in private home showings, owning and operating their businesses in their homes.

Finksburg resident receives promotion

Spacesaver Corp. recently promoted Bill Kaltenbacher of Finksburg to manager of the Spacesaver Support Group for the Eastern region of the United States.

He has many years of experience in sales and engineering, including four years as a sales representative with Glover Equipment Inc., Spacesaver area contractor in Cockeysville, and four years operating his own construction equipment rental firm.

Spacesaver manufactures high-density mobile storage systems for offices, institutions, industrial plants and government operations. It markets in the United States and Canada through the Spacesaver Group network of 53 independently owned area contractors and distributors, which provides local sales, installation and service.

Mr. Kaltenbacher lives in Finksburg with his wife, Suellen.
