Daughter of Jeff and Diane...

SARAH WARDENFELT, 10, daughter of Jeff and Diane Wardenfelt of Kump Station Road, Taneytown.

School: Fifth-grader at Runnymede Elementary School.

Honored for: Winning the junior novice fitting and showing class at the 4-H Dog Show at the Maryland State Fair in Timonium Aug. 28. Sarah showed Buttons, her 2 1/2 -year-old smooth fox terrier. The judge was impressed with Buttons' physical condition and with Sarah's ability to present the dog.

Goals: "I would probably like to be a professional dog handler."

Comments: "I love the dogs, and grooming and then showing them. I also have shown my other dog, Katie, a border collie, in the Carroll County 4-H Fair."

Sarah has three other dogs, but shows only Katie and Buttons.
