Players to watch 1993 high school volleyball preview

Samantha Callis, C. Milton Wright, Sr. -- Callis will emerge a one of the team's focal hitters and will be one of the team's leading point scorers.

Amy Finlayson, Bel Air, Sr. -- A first-team All-County selection last year, Finlayson will be one of the top players in the county. Last year she had a 50-percent kill average and scored 126 points.

Jessica Henry, C. Milton Wright, Sr. -- Henry will be one of the Mustangs' top setters and will help the offense with consistent serving.

Anne Kelley, Edgewood, Sr. -- Kelley was an integral part of the Rams' serving attack last year as she finished with 32 aces and 85-percent accuracy.

Marika Krejci, Aberdeen, Sr. -- Krejci, a second-team All-County selection last year, is one of the Eagles' top hitters and blockers.

Kimberly Long, Fallston, Sr. -- The lone senior from last year's regional finalists, Long will provide leadership on the court and help out on the attack.

Melissa Marcicola, Edgewood, Sr. -- She was one of the top servers last year with 59 aces and served with 86-percent accuracy.

Dawn Rose, Edgewood, Sr. -- Rose was one of the Rams' best servers last season with an 85-percent serving accuracy and 25 aces.

Shawna Staten, Aberdeen, Jr. -- At 6-0, Staten's presence on the court will not go unnoticed as a blocker and hitter.

Jennifer Walter, North Harford, Sr. -- Walter was a strong hitter and server for the Hawks last year and will help lead the hitting attack on the front line this season.
