City players to watch 1993 high school volleyball preview

Tamika Bradford, Mervo, Sr. -- At 5 feet 10, Bradford will add height to the Mustangs' front line and should emerge as one of the team's top hitters and blockers.

Alyssa Dooley, Seton Keough, Sr. -- Dooley, 5-9, is an effective middle hitter who will help pace the Gators' attack this year.

Kenya Holman, Poly, Sr. -- Holman, who started on varsity last year, is a strong hitter and blocker who will lend experience to a rebuilding offense.

Jeanette Jordan, City, Jr. -- The 5-10 junior turned some heads last season and was named honorable mention All-City/County as a sophomore. She is a strong hitter and all-around player who covers the court well.

Kim Osborne, Western, Sr. -- Osborne was a second-team All-City/County selection last year as she helped lead the Doves to a City-Wide title and regional-final appearance.

Nikita Pope, Edmondson, Jr. -- The 5-8 hitter averaged 3.0 kills per game for the Redskins and helped lead them to the regional semifinals.

Heather Ritger, Catholic, Sr. -- A second-team All-Catholic League selection last year, Ritger will be one of the Cubs' go-to hitters this season.

Jessica Tignall, Mercy, Sr. -- Tignall returns as the team's primary setter and will help lead the Sharpshooters' drive toward a Catholic League title.

Rebekah Williams, Douglass, Sr. -- Williams averaged 2.0 kills per game for the Ducks last year and is one of the team's top hitters and servers.

Ruth Williams, Douglass, Sr. -- At 6-0, Williams adds height to the front line and depth to the team's hitting and serving attack.
