A 35-year-old Westminster man, who was found sitting naked in his car, was arrested in Taneytown Monday and charged with indecent exposure, police reported yesterday.

Robert S. Rhone Jr., of the 800 block of Old Taneytown Road, did not give Taneytown Officer Paul Wingate any explanation when he was apprehended in the parking lot of the Sheetz convenience store in the 200 block of E. Baltimore St., police said.

Officer Wingate said a woman told him that a man was sitting nude in his car in the 400 block of E. Baltimore St. When the officer arrived, the man had left.

About 35 minutes later, at 8 p.m., the officer received a call about a nude man sitting in a car on the Sheetz store lot. The man's clothing was piled neatly in the car's front seat, police said.

Mr. Rhone was handcuffed and taken to jail in Taneytown. He was released on his own recognizance pending further court action after a hearing before a district court commissioner in Westminster.
