Bank holding company declares dividend

Directors of Mason-Dixon Bancshares Inc., parent corporation Carroll County Bank and Trust Co., have declared a 32-cents per share dividend. The dividend, payable Wednesday, will be paid to stockholders of record last Friday.

Net earnings for the six months ending June 30 totaled $3,406,724, an increase of 30.5 percent over the same period in 1992. Net income per share was $2.34, compared with $1.77 for the same period in 1992.

Carroll County Bank and Trust Co. has headquarters in Westminster and operates 12 offices in Carroll and one in Ellicott City. The bank also operates a wholly owned subsidiary, Carrollco Insurance Inc., in Manchester.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynnhas new employees

The O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Westminster office recently welcomed associate Christian Hanley, who left a regional company to join the "Home Team." Another new associate, Robert Bowers, recently completed Fast Start, O'Conor, Piper & Flynn's real estate training course.
