St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3330 Uniontown Road in Uniontown, will sponsor a flea market and craft fair to benefit the church from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Antiques, crafts, flea market items, jewelry and yard sale items will be sold.

Turkey salad sandwiches, barbecue, hot dogs, chili dogs, vegetable and noodle soups, and baked goods may be purchased.

Rain date is Sept. 18.

The Union Bridge Volunteer Fire Company will serve breakfast in the fire hall, 8 W. Locust St., from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, pudding, hominy, sausage, and coffee.

The cost is $4.25 for adults and $2 for children ages 6 to 12. Proceeds will benefit the fire company.

After you eat, you can attend the second annual Union Bridge Gala '90s picnic, sponsored by the Town Hall Funding Committee from noon to 5 p.m. A flea market and craft show will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lehigh Portland Cement plant, 117 S. Main St.

Spaces, 15 feet square, are available for $10 each for the flea market. Information: Sarah Black, 775-2718.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, soups, sandwiches, fried chicken, french fries, Polish sausages, popcorn, snowballs, ice cream and desserts will be sold at stands sponsored by churches and community groups.

Tap your toes to the music of Elvis imitator Kevin Michael, the Strawbridge Ensemble and country singer Ronnie Reese.

For $3 per person, $5 per couple and $1 for children ages 6 to 12, a film and bus tour of the Lehigh plant will take place hourly.

Antique cars and street rods will also be on display. If you would like to show your wheels, contact Perry Jones, 775-2120.

A raffle of donated prizes from area merchants will be drawn at 5 p.m. Tickets will cost $1.

Also Sunday, the Westminster Municipal Band will hold a concert Taneytown Memorial Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is sponsored by the Taneytown Heritage Committee.

NB Refreshments will be sold by the Taneytown Recreation Council.
