POLICE LOG

* North Laurel: 9700 block of Country Meadows Lane: A $120 radar detector was stolen from a Honda Accord Monday or Tuesday.

* Scaggsville: 8600 block of Tower Drive: Someone stole several items -- including a $400 CD player and $300 worth of CDs -- from a Ford Escort between Saturday and Tuesday. Police said the thief broke the driver side rear window to enter the vehicle.

* Jessup: 6300 block of Meadowridge Road: The front door of Meadowridge Landscaping was pried open last Thursday or Friday. There was minor ransacking, but nothing was reported stolen.

9900 block of Route 1: Someone entered the Metropolitan Auto Center through an unlocked window and attempted to enter an adjacent business by kicking through drywall Saturday or Sunday.

8300 block of Autumn Way: Someone smashed the back window of a Toyota Paseo Monday.
