Harford County players to watch 1993 high school girls soccer preview

Melissa Billings, C. Milton Wright, Sr., D -- Recognized as one of the better defenders in the region, Billings was an All-County selection a year ago. She has started at fullback since she was a freshman.

Beth Blasi, Fallston, Soph., F -- Blasi has excellent foot skills and is aggressive around the goal, which makes her a potential big scorer.

Angie Eichenseer, Edgewood, Sr., M -- Eichenseer is a determined and knowledgeable player with good speed in a set-up role for the scorers.

Amanda Fouts, C. Milton Wright, Sr., M -- Fouts' excellent speed allows her to cover a lot of ground at halfback. She has good ball control.

Miranda James, C. Milton Wright, Soph., S -- James was the Mustangs' leading scorer with 10 goals as a freshman. She has good speed and is part of the Olympic Developmental Program.

Amanda Laughton, Aberdeen, Fr., S -- Laughton could be one of the best young players ever at Aberdeen. Her passing skills make her a good set-up player.

Heather Martin, North Harford, Sr., D -- A versatile player, Martin begins her third season at a new position, this time at fullback. Martin was a second-team

All-County pick last season and is a leader on the field.

Becky Mortus, Aberdeen, Sr., F -- Mortus has outstanding hustle with a lot of scoring potential.

Jean Tyrell, Bel Air, Jr., F -- Tyrell has started on varsity since she was a freshman and has good ball skills. Tyrell seems to always be at the right place.

Jenny Weber, Fallston, Jr., F -- Weber has good speed, passes well from the wing and is a good scorer.

Chris Voit, Joppatowne, Jr., G -- Voit is very aggressive, which makes her good in one-on-one situations. She slides well and is

able to get to a lot of high balls.
