Guns and money stolen from Mayberry house

A Mayberry man reported to state police that someone broke into his house and took guns and cash valued at $11,800 while he was away Thursday.

Randy Joseph Seely of Mayberry Road said he left his house about 6 a.m. and returned about 6 p.m. to find that his home had been ransacked and property was missing.

He told police that entry was gained by prying open a basement glass sliding door.

L Mr. Seely declined to give details about the stolen weapons.

Police have no suspects, and no arrests have been made.


* Taneytown: Taneytown, Harney, Union Bridge, Westminster and Kingsdale of Adams County, Pa., were dispatched for a building fire in the first block of East Baltimore Street in Taneytown at 2:51 a.m. Saturday. Units were out for 31 minutes.

* Union Bridge: Units from Union Bridge responded to investigate the report of a fire on Whyte Street at 10:35 p.m. on Sunday. They were out for 15 minutes.
