POLICE

* Westminster: An employee of Mack Homes told police someone broke a lock on one of the model homes last Friday. Damage is estimated at $140.

A Barnhart Road resident told police someone stole the stereo from his car while it was parked in the area of Route 31 and West Main Street on Tuesday. He estimated the loss At $555.

An employee of Goodwill Industries in the 140 Village Shopping Center told police someone forced open a rear door and stole a video camera on Wednesday. She valued the camera at $190.

A resident of Westmoreland Avenue reported to police that while his car was parked near his home on Wednesday, several articles were taken from it. He estimated the loss at $480.

FIRE

* Sandymount: Reese firefighters were dispatched to investigate the report of smoke in a building on Sandymount Road at 7:01 p.m. Wednesday. They were out for 21 minutes.

* Westminster: Westminster and Reese responded for a fire alarm sounding on Crest Lane at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday. Units were out for 21 minutes.
