Five people arrested in apartment drug raid

County police raided a Pasadena apartment early yesterday, arrested five people on drug charges and confiscated crack cocaine, authorities said.

The Northern District Tactical Narcotics Team served the search and seizure warrant at the third floor apartment in the 8200 block of Fort Smallwood Road about 12:15 a.m.

Police said they had received numerous complaints "of blatandrug activity" at the apartment.

Authorities said that the people inside the apartment had varyinamounts of crack cocaine, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Police also reported seizing $150.

The following Pasadena residents were charged with possessiocrack cocaine:

* Mary Ann Sawyer, 41, of the 8600 block of Scorton Harbor.

* Ronnie Sass, 32, of the 200 block of Harlem Road.

* Clarence Whittaker, 32, of the first block of Bar Harbor Road.

* Gail Dortch, 38, of the 8200 block of Fort Smallwood Road.

* William Christopher Easter, 35, of the 8200 block of ForSmallwood Road. He also was charged with pos

session of methamphetamine.
