City police today were seeking at least one person and possibly two in connection with the fatal shooting last night of two men inside a rowhouse in the 2800 block of Hilldale Ave. near Park Circle in northwest Baltimore.
Pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m. was Michael Isaac, 25, a resident of the dwelling.
Police said Mr. Isaac was shot at least once and died instantly.
The second victim, Terrance Thompson, 26, of the 3500 block of Reisterstown Road, was found lying on the pavement a short distance from the house.
Police said he may have been attempting to reach his home when he collapsed.
He was rushed by fire department ambulance to Sinai Hospital, where he died at 9:57 p.m. from multiple gunshot wounds and without regaining consciousness.
Homicide detective Donald Osmuss said it appeared that shortly after Mr. Issac answered his door and allowed at least one man in, someone began shooting.
"The shots were fired within minutes after someone entered the house," Detective Osmuss said.
The gunshots, he said, were heard by several people on the second-floor who rushed downstairs but did not see anyone leaving.
Detective Osmuss said the lack of bullet holes in the walls, floor or furniture indicated that both victims were apparently shot at very close range and that at least Mr. Isaac probably knew the gunman or gunmen. He said there was no evidence that the shootings were drug related or committed during a robbery.
