'Surviving the 'Hurricane'

August 31, 1993

With the imminent approach of Hurricane Emily, Maryland Public Television tonight will pre-empt the broadcast of "Nova" to show "Surviving the Hurricane," a documentary made in the aftermath of last year's devastating Hurricane Andrew.

Produced by WMBT in Miami, the program features Dr. Bob Sheets, director of the National Hurricane Center, offering tips on what people can do to protect their homes and themselves against a violent storm.

"Surviving the Hurricane" can be been at 8 p.m. on channels 22 and 67.
