Here's information you'll need if you have a child enrolled in Baltimore City Schools:

First day of school: Sept. 1

Winter vacation: Dec. 23-31

Spring break: April 1-8

L Report cards distributed: Nov. 15, Feb. 1, March 25, June 15

Last day of school: June 8

Lunch prices: $1

Immunizations required: By kindergarten, five doses of DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis), three to four doses of polio, one to two doses of measles, mumps and rubella. Information on free and low-cost immunizations: 396-HELP.

Standardized test dates: Maryland Functional Tests: math, Oct. 19; reading, Oct. 20; writing, Jan 11, Jan. 12 (writing makeup, Jan. 13, Jan 17); citizenship, Feb. 1-4. Maryland School Performance Assessment Program: May 9-20 for grades three, five and eight.

School starting times: Vary from school to school. Most elementaries, 8:20 a.m.; middle schools, 8:15 a.m.; high schools, 8:30 a.m.
