Monday is deadline to pay for NFL tickets

Baltimore's NFL expansion committee has set a deadline of 11 a.m. Monday for applications and checks to be filed in its premium-seat campaign. At that point, any unfilled pledges will be replaced by names from the waiting list.

The waiting list for club seats was started yesterday, said Herbert J. Belgrad, co-chairman of the expansion committee.

"We don't have a waiting list just because it looks good," Belgrad said, "but [because] we think we'll be able to accommodate people on the list when the dust settles. We're very close to a sellout now. Yet, there remain a number of applicants who have not paid for seats."

The expansion committee will announce a sellout of 7,500 club seats on Monday. The committee sold out all 100 sky boxes last week. The NFL's premium seat drive, designed to measure corporate and fan support in each of the expansion cities, ends Sept. 3. Two teams that will play in 1995 are expected to be awarded in October.

Belgrad said that as soon as all seats are accounted for, unused checks from the waiting list will be returned.
