Calabria Hair Salon picks new manager

Dora Osterfeld has been chosen salon manager for the Calabria Hair Salon in Annapolis.

Previously with Ludwigs Hair Salon in Annapolis, Ms. Osterfeld has more than 14 years of experience in hair design.

The salon also recently welcomed two other new employees, Nancy Hall and Jackie Newcastle.

Ms. Hall, previously with Nails of Excellence in Annapolis, has joined the Calabria Hair Salon in Annapolis as a qualified nail technician.

With 11 years of experience, Ms. Hall specializes in sculpture nails, manicure and pedicure.

Ms. Newcastle has joined the salon as a qualified hair designer. Previously with Shears in Edgewater, Ms. Newcastle has 10 years of experience in all facets of hair service.

Kenneth Brown joins realty staff

Kenneth Brown has joined the staff of Weichert, Shannon & Luches Realtors as a residential sales associate at the firm's Annapolis office.

Bailey gets post at Admiral Cleaners

Todd M. Bailey has been named vice president of operations for Admiral Cleaners, an Annapolis-based dry cleaner.

Mr. Bailey has operated his own cleaning shop in Seabrook and Laurel for the past two years. He worked for Admiral for more than eight years before opening his own shops. In his new position, Mr. Bailey will handle employee relations and equipment maintenance, oversee compliance with government regulations, and perform market research, business development, site planning and lease negotiations.

A Crofton resident, Mr. Bailey is a past president of the Maryland Textile Association and a member of the Roundtable of Drycleaners.

Dr. Taylor joins dental practice

The oral and maxillofacial surgery practice of Drs. Nessif and Garden, D.D.S., P.C. has welcomed Dr. Steven E. Taylor, D.D.S. to its Odenton office.

Dr. Taylor has extensive experience practicing dentistry and worked previously for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.

As a colonel in the Army, Dr. Taylor was named chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Kimbrough Community Hospital at Fort Meade.

A resident of Odenton, Dr. Taylor retired from the Army in June 1993.

Plott certified by planners group

Annapolis resident David Plott has received certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners, the professional arm of the American Planning Association, which certifies professionals practicing urban and regional planning.

Mr. Plott, who has practiced law for the past four years with the firm of Linowes and Blocher, specializes in real estate, environmental and administrative law.

He was among 13 people in the Maryland chapter of AICP to be certified.
