BALTIMORE — Three men slain in separate incidents

BALTIMORE -- An East Baltimore carwash owner was robbed and fatally shot, and two other men were stabbed to death in separate weekend homicides in the city.

Simon Solomon, 48, of the 400 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. was accosted by three men as he washed his own car about 12:35 a.m. yesterday at the Affordable Auto Waxing Center in the 1800 block of N. Milton Ave., police said.

The men forced Mr. Solomon into a back room and took his money and jewelry before shooting him three times, according to a police report.

Christopher Brown, 43, of the 4100 block of Hayward Ave., was stabbed to death about 9:30 a.m. yesterday in a scuffle with another man at the home of Mr. Brown's estranged wife in the 1700 block of Brentwood Ave.

Police charged David Turner, 41, also of the 1700 block of Brentwood, with first-degree murder.

Police said a fight erupted between the two men after Mr. Brown returned his children to his wife following a weekend visit. During the scuffle, Mr. Brown was stabbed once in the heart, police said.

Mr. Brown, whose address was not divulged, was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

In the third homicide, Tyrone McRae, 31, was stabbed to deatSaturday afternoon in a domestic dispute in his house in the 4400 block of Old York Road.

His nephew, Brandon Harris, 16, of the Old York Road address, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, police said.
