Baltimore City

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Property valued at nearly $2,000 was stolen from a house in the 1600 block of Veney Court between Aug. 13 and Aug. 18. Taken were two TVs and appliances.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered Shamrock Liquors in the 4200 block of Belair Road between Wednesday and Thursday by knocking a hole in the closet of a vacant apartment on the second floor and stole money, liquor and cigarettes valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Computer equipment and a telephone, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen from the Self Discovery Day-Care Center in the 1200 block of Sherwood Ave. Thursday morning.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A bike owned by a resident of the 5000 block of Wright Ave. was stolen Thursday from in front of Eddie's supermarket in the 4500 block of Erdman Ave. The bike was valued at more than $200.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 1400 block of Madison St. was in the 2000 block of McMechen St. Thursday night when a man pushed her and stole her wallet containing a small sum of money.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men wearing masks assaulted a man in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Wednesday night and robbed him of more than $50.

STOLEN CAR: Central District -- A 1993 Ford Escort with Maryland tags AMH936 and owned by a resident of the 2600 block of Mura St. was stolen from the 800 block of Madison St. Thursday afternoon.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1600 block of Moreland Ave. through the front door Wednesday and stole a Rossi-brand .38 caliber revolver valued at $800.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who pointed a handgun at a resident of the 2700 block of Virginia Ave. and threatened to shoot her during an argument inside the man's house in the 1000 block of W. Fayette St. Wednesday night.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 4500 block of Dunland Road was in the 900 block of Wheeler Ave. Wednesday when a man struck him with an unknown object and robbed him of $20.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Two 19-inch TVs valued at nearly $300 were stolen from a house in the 200 block of Winchester St. Wednesday by someone who entered through the front door.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the first block of Lattimer Court of his wallet and $23 in the 2300 block of Edmondson Ave. Thursday morning.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered Tyrone's grocery in the 900 block of N. Bentalou St. Wednesday night and stole a case of pizzas, several packages of chicken, soft-drinks and 16-dozen eggs.

THEFT: Western District -- A warrant was expected to be issued for a man who stole more than $1,000 worth of compact discs from the home of a friend in the 3300 block of Auchentoroly Terrace.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of W. Lanvale St. through a rear door between Wednesday and Thursday and stole stereo equipment and a VCR, all valued at more than $700.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1100 block of Whitmore Ave. was riding his 10-speed bike in the 2400 block of Winchester St. Thursday afternoon when a man knocked him to the pavement and stole the bike, valued at more than $100.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Property valued at more than $5,000 was stolen from a house in the 100 block of Mallow Hill Road Wednesday by someone who entered through a basement door. Taken was furniture, cash, jewelry, appliances and other property.

ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who struck a resident of the 3200 block of Clifton Ave. several times with a hammer during an incident at the victim's home Wednesday night. The victim was not seriously injured.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 100 block of S. Monastery Ave. Wednesday and stole jewelry, cash and appliances, all valued at nearly $2,000.

ROBBERIES/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested one man and were seeking a second in connection with the armed robbery Thursday night of two women in the 400 block of Warren St. One of the victims, a resident of the 200 block of Heath St., was robbed of her wallet containing a small sum of money. The other woman, a resident of the 1200 block of Riverside Ave., had no money. Shortly after the robbery, a member of the police Tactical Squad spotted a suspect not far from the robbery scene and arrested him without incident. A gun believed use in the robberies was recovered. The suspect is being held at the station pending armed robbery and deadly weapon charges.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men were in the 1100 block '' of James St. Thursday night when they assaulted a resident of the 300 block of S. Gilmor St. and robbed her of a cigarette case in which she had hidden nearly $300.
