BALTIMORE CITY

* ROBBERIES/ARRESTS: Northern District -- An off-duty city police officer working at a service station in the 5600 block of The Alameda about 11 a.m. Wednesday chased and captured a man who robbed a Hollander Ridge woman of her money at gunpoint at a 24-hour teller located near the service station. The suspect was being held at the Northeastern District station pending charges. Wednesday night, police arrested a man suspected of robbing a resident of the 5200 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. of his money at the same 24-hour teller at 4:30 p.m. Police believe the two suspects have robbed several people at the same teller machine during the past few weeks. The second suspect also is being held at the same police station pending charges.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1986 Pontiac with Maryland tags NNG750 was stolen from the 1100 block of Elbank Ave. between Tuesday and Wednesday.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2500 block of Guilford Ave. was walking a block from his home Wednesday night when he was assaulted by a man who robbed him of $35.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 300 block of W. 27th St. through a locked basement door Wednesday and stole a diamond ring, a gold watch and a VCR, all valued at more than $3,000.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man robbed the Burris & Kemp pharmacy in the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave. of more than $100 Wednesday afternoon after giving an employee a business card with a demand for money written on it.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- Someone stole a 1985 Oldsmobile with Maryland tags PPK788 from the 2300 block of Maryland Ave. between Tuesday and Wednesday.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3000 block of Remington Ave. was riding his mountain bike in the 3100 block of Wyman Park Drive Wednesday when a man struck him with a metal pipe and stole the bike, valued at $200.

* BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Northern District -- Police responding to burglar alarm at a house in the 3000 block of Wylie Ave. Wednesday arrested two men in the basement as they !c attempted to steal a washing machine.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the North Baltimore Center in the 2200 block of N. Charles St. between Tuesday and Wednesday and ransacked several offices. It was not immediately known if any property was taken.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1985 Oldsmobile with Maryland tags was stolen from the 2300 block of Maryland Ave. between Tuesday and Wednesday.

nTC * ROBBERY TRY: Southern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Brohawn Ave. was in the 2900 block of Stranden Road Wednesday morning when he was attacked by a man who demanded his money. When the victim resisted and fought back, the man fled.

* ROBBERY TRY: Southern District -- A gunman stopped a resident of the first block of S. Parkin St. in the 900 block of Hollins St. Wednesday afternoon and demanded his money. The gunman walked away when the victim said he had no money.

* ROBBERY: Southern District -- A woman with a handgun robbed a resident of the 800 block of Herndon Court of money and property, all valued at more than $900, in the 4200 block of Sixth St. in Brooklyn Wednesday night.

* THEFT/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police arrested a 22-year-old man and charged him with stealing a gold watch valued at $100 from a house in the 500 block of S. Lehigh St. Wednesday. The suspect was visiting an occupant of the house at the time of the theft.

* THEFT: Southeastern District -- A 27-inch color TV set valued at $40 was stolen from Church Home in the 100 block of N. Bond St. Tuesday night.

* THEFT: Southeastern District -- A 5-inch color TV set valued at nearly $360 was stolen from a car owned by a Pennsylvania resident while the vehicle was parked in the 100 block of N. Front St. Tuesday.

* THEFT: Southeastern District -- A 26-inch bike valued at more than $100 and owned by a resident of the 2500 block of Madison Ave. was stolen Tuesday from the 2000 block of Eastern Ave. when the owner left it unattended.

* BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- A 13-inch TV set with remote control, all valued at more than $200, was stolen from a house in the 300 block of Mason Court Tuesday by someone who entered through a rear kitchen window.

* BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Someone entered a home in the 1300 block of Travers Way with a key between Aug. 12 and Wednesday and stole furniture, clothing, at least two TV sets, a clothes dryer and a freezer, all valued at more than $2,500.

* THEFT/ASSAULT: ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- A 23-year-old resident of the 900 block of Wilmot Court was being placed under arrest Wednesday by a security officer at the G.C. Murphy department store in the 400 block of S. Broadway for stealing a telephone. She bit the officer on the wrist, but he maintained his hold on her and later charged her with theft and assault. The property was recovered.
