Sajak boat theft linked to 2 others

The people who stole television game-show host Pat Sajak's boat also are suspected of taking two boats from an Arnold marina, the Maryland Natural Resources Police said yesterday.

All three boats have been recovered, police said. Mr. Sajak's 26-foot Sea Ray cabin cruiser, which had been taken during the weekend from the Bluff Point Marina in Severna Park, was found Tuesday at the Cypress Marina on the Magothy River.

The two other boats, a 23-foot Maxum runabout and a 29-foot Cruiser cabin cruiser, were found yesterday morning in Stoney Creek in Pasadena, both abandoned and dragging their anchors.

Police said both boats were reported stolen Tuesday from the Cypress Marina. All three boats were vandalized, but investigators said damage was minimal and nothing on board was reported missing.

Anyone with information on the thefts should call the Natural Resources Police confidential hot line, 1-800-628-9944.
