BALTIMORE CITY

* SHOOTING: Central District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. was walking in the 1500 block of Argyle Ave. about 7 p.m. Monday when two men called to him. When the man turned around and noticed that one of the men had a gun and that both were wearing masks, he turned to run and was shot in the wrist. The two men fled and the victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and was released.

* BURGLARY: Central District -- A telephone and Oriental carpeting, all valued at more than $2,000, were stolen from Authentic Beauty in the 1000 block of N. Charles St. between Saturday and Monday by someone who entered through a door.

* STABBING: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who stabbed a resident of the 4500 block of Reisterstown Road in the left arm Monday night during an incident at the victim's home. The victim was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment and was released.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered the Urban Services Agency's Child Development Center in the 2800 block of N. Dukeland St. through a window between Friday and Monday and stole a typewriter.

* ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4900 block of Queensberry Ave. was arguing with another man in his home Monday afternoon when he was stabbed in the head with a butcher knife. The victim refused medical treatment. No arrest had been made.

* SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Oswego Ave. was in the 4100 block of Pimlico Road Monday when a man shot him in the right ankle. The victim was taken to Liberty Medical Center for treatment and released. The gunman escaped.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1986 Chevrolet with Maryland tags SFE143 was stolen from the 3800 block of Fords BTC Lane between Sunday and Monday.

* ROBBERY TRY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, ordered a driver for Diamond Cab to give up his money and property in the 800 block of N. Carey St. early Monday morning. When the cabbie told the men he had no money or property of value, the gunman and his accomplice walked away.

* ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested an 18-year-old man and charged him with robbing a resident of the 900 block of Edmondson Ave. of $5 in the 1800 block of Edmondson Ave. Monday morning at gunpoint. Held in lieu of $20,000 bond pending a bail review hearing today in District Court is Dwayne W. Mabray of the 600 block of N. Payson St.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1000 block of Harlem Ave. was in the 1200 block of N. Fremont Ave. Sunday afternoon when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of more than $70.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of Riggs Ave. between Sunday and Monday through the front window and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 4000 block of Colborne Road of more than $40 in the 2100 block of Vine St. Monday night.

* STOLEN CAR: Southwestern District -- A 1989 Chevrolet with Maryland tags WRM812 was stolen from the 3400 block of Violetville Ave. between Sunday and Monday.

* THEFT/ARRESTS: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a couple who attempted to leave the Super Fresh market in the 2300 block of Frederick Ave. Monday without paying for items valued at nearly $18.

* ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A gunman was in the 3100 block of W. North Ave. Monday evening and robbed a couple of their money and property, all valued at more than $100. The man was from the 2900 block of Presstman St. and the woman from the 1000 block of N. Rosedale Ave.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone entered Automatic Data Processing in the 8700 block of Mylander Lane near Baynesville through a side door between Sunday and Monday and forced open at least one vending machine in the cafeteria. It was not immediately known if any money or property was stolen.

* STOLEN CAR: Cockeysville District-- A 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280 coupe with Maryland tags XXN024 and listed to Naffis Enterprises Inc. in the 2100 block of York Road was stolen from the 2200 block of Loveton Farm Court in Sparks between Saturday and Monday. The vehicle is valued at $12,000.
