9 vehicles vandalized in Westminster CENTRAL--Union Mills * Westminster * Sandymount * Finksburg

Nine vehicles were broken into or otherwise vandalized in Westminster, Thursday through Sunday night, according to city police reports.

Loss and damage estimates total $780.

A resident of East Main Street told police property valued at $145 was stolen Thursday while his car was parked near his home. He said the car was damaged Friday by someone using a BB or pellet gun. That damage is estimated at $300.

An employee of The Arc reported a fire extinguisher and several flares were stolen from a bus parked on Kriders Church Road on Thursday. Loss is about $45.

A resident of West Middle Grove Road said someone destroyed the trunk lock on his car while trying to break in Friday. Damage is estimated at $50.

A resident of Hook Road said someone opened the side door of her van and stole articles valued at $100 Friday while the vehicle was parked near her home.

A resident of Kirkoff Road told police someone threw a bottle through the rear window of his car Friday while it was parked at Cranberry Mall.

A resident of Hanover, Pa., told local authorities that someone removed wheel covers from the passenger side of her vehicle while it was parked at Cranberry Mall on Friday. She estimated the loss at $40.

A resident of John Street said someone removed articles valued at $60 from his car while it was parked near his home Friday. The loss is estimated at $60.

A resident of West Main Street said someone removed property valued at $15 from his car while it was parked near his home Thursday.

A resident of Young Way said someone broke the rear passenger-side window of his car while it was parked near his home Saturday. The damage is estimated at $125.
