Summer has been anything but quiet at the Basics shopping center on Route 3.

Stores are moving, some are growing and others are getting a face lift.

By the end of the year the Basics supermarket will become a Metro Food Market. To make room for the changeover, the Hair Cuttery moved across the parking lot.

That move has allowed the shop to expand. A grand reopening celebration was thrown last week.

Other changes are coming, and I'll be sure to tell you about them in this column.
