George Kiriazoglou

Restaurateur

George Kiriazoglou, a gourmet chef who was co-owner of the Lighthouse Restaurant in Odenton, died yesterday of heart failure at North Arundel Hospital. He was 61.

He operated the restaurant with his brother for more than 20 years.

The Weirton, W.Va., native was reared in Baltimore. He married the former Evelyn Zubulis in 1958 and moved to Severna Park in 1961.

Mr. Kiriazoglou was a member of the American Hellenic Education Progressive Association.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, Maryland Avenue and Preston Street, Baltimore.

Mr. Kiriazoglou is survived by his wife; two daughters, Eva Maria Kiriazoglou of Severna Park and Kathleen King of Pasadena; two sons, Angelo George Kiriazoglou of Abingdon and James George Kiriazoglou of Pasadena; his mother, Vasilea Andrew of Catonsville; a brother, James Andrew of Catonsville; a sister, Angela Zades of Catonsville; and five grandchildren.

The family suggested memorial contributions may be made to St. Constantine and St. Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 4 Constitution Ave., Annapolis, Md. 21404, or to the American Heart Association.
