FISHING

Tuesday: Department of Natural Resources public hearing to discuss proposed Spanish mackerel limits, 6 p.m., Wicomico County Library, Salisbury. The proposed regulation would establish a minimum length of 14 inches and a creel limit of 10 per day. Written comment may be sent to R.S. Tuesday:

Monthly meeting of the Essex-Middle River Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen's Association, Commodore Hall in Essex, 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker scheduled to be Allan Ellis, host of Maryland Sportsman radio talk show and editor and publisher of The Hunting and Fishing Journal. The public is welcome.

Saturday-Sunday: Solomons Charter Captains Association Southern Maryland Fishing Tournament, Solomons Island, 7 a.m. 4 p.m. both days. Call (410) 326-2670.
