Placed P Gregg Olson on the 15-day DL, retroactive to Monday, due to a strained ligament in his right elbow. Recalled P John O'Donoghue from Rochester. Promoted P Rick Krivda from Double-A Bowie to Rochester.

Cincinnati Reds -- Double-A Chattanooga placed C Jon Fuller on the DL and acquired C Greg Hammond from Single-A Winston-Salem.

Cleveland Indians -- Recalled 3B Jim Thome from Triple-A Charlotte. Outrighted IF Carlos Martinez to Charlotte; he has cleared waivers and accepted his assignment.

Seattle Mariners -- Placed 1B Tino Martinez on the 60-day DL with a knee injury. Recalled 1B Greg Pirkl from Triple-A Calgary. Purchased the contract of IF-OF Brian Turang from Calgary. Placed OF Mike Felder on the 15-day DL, effective Thursday, with patella tendinitis below his right knee.
