Canada Goose Season May Be Cut In Half

State officials, concerned that the state's population of migrant Canada geese decreased to its lowest level in 30 years last winter, yesterday said that they plan to cut this fall's hunting season to 30 days as part of a continuing effort to rebuild the flock. The proposed season is half the 60 days possible under guidelines established by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The daily bag limit would be one bird.
