* Ellicott City: 8400 block of Oakton Lane: A $200 portable car phone was stolen from a gray Honda Accord late Monday or early Tuesday.
8000 block of Montgomery Road: Someone damaged a mailbox, ripping its door off Monday or Tuesday.
8500 block of Pine Run Court: Stereo equipment valued at $6,500 and other equipment were stolen from a black 1986 Saab on Monday night or Tuesday morning.
8500 block of Pine Run Court: The bottom of a rear sliding glass door was found pried and bent at a residence, but no entry was gained. The attempted break-in occurred between Aug. 1 and Tuesday, police said.
6100 block of Meadowridge Road: A front door, sink and torch were taken from a vacant house between Aug. 3 and Monday, police said.
9300 block of Baltimore National Pike: A portable phone was taken from a parked car while the owner was inside a McDonald's restaurant Saturday afternoon. The stolen property was valued at $200.
* Elkridge: 5900 block of Rowanberry Drive: Someone stole a red $500 men's 21-speed bike from a front yard Sunday night or Monday morning.
5900 block of Augustine Ave.: The tires of a dark blue Ford pickup truck were slashed Monday or Tuesday. Along the same street, someone also damaged a mailbox, wrapped toilet paper in a tree, destroyed hanging flower baskets and put a banana into an exhaust pipe.
