Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Southern District -- A resident of the 2500 block of Joseph Ave. was walking in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road Tuesday night when someone shot him in the right leg. The victim was taken to Harbor Medical Center for treatment. No arrest had been made and police knew of no motive for the shooting.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Police arrested a woman who attempted to leave the Stop, Shop & Save store in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Tuesday without paying for nearly $40 worth of baby formula. The woman was being held at the women's detention center at the police station pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A 24-inch multispeed bike valued at nearly $300 was stolen from the back yard of a house in the 3000 block of Glenmore Ave. Monday. The bike was secured to a metal railing.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered the back yard of a house in the 4000 block of Balfern Ave. Tuesday afternoon and stole a 24-inch, 10-speed bike valued at nearly $140.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Putty Hill Ave. in Baltimore County was talking on an outside telephone in the 7500 block of Harford Road Tuesday night when a man stole a purse she was carrying on her shoulder. The purse contained cash and property, all of unknown value.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Rock climbing equipment valued more than $1,000 was stolen from Clipper City Rock Gym in the 2000 block of Clipper Park by someone who entered through a a door between Sunday and Monday.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1992 Subaru with Maryland tags XGB593 was stolen from the 3000 block of Abell Ave. between Monday and Tuesday.

ROBBERY TRY: Northern District -- A 17-year-old resident of the 1900 block of Harry Weiss Court at Hollander Ridge was in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. Monday night when a man demanded her jewelry. When the woman refused, he threatened to harm her baby, but fled without stealing the woman's property hurting the child.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A woman was seated at a bus stop in the 500 block of E. 33rd St. Tuesday morning when a man with a handgun sat down next to her and demanded her money. The man escaped with more than $100.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1992 Honda with Maryland tags ZTE053 was stolen from the 300 block of Tunbridge Road between Monday and Tuesday.

PURSE SNATCHING: Northern District -- A 35-year-old resident of the 400 block of Somerset Road was exiting a car in her driveway Monday night when a man knocked her to the ground and stole her purse with cash and property, valued at $100.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1000 block of St. Paul St. of $25 Monday night at a bus stop in the 3500 block of St. Paul St.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Jewelry and coins, valued at more than $200, were stolen from a house in the first block of Blythewood Road Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3600 block of Greenmount Ave. through a rear door between Saturday and Tuesday and stole two TV sets, valued at nearly $600.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A VCR and 20 movie tapes, all valued at nearly $700, were stolen from a house in the 4700 block of Old York Road between Monday and Tuesday.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Someone entered a house in the 10000 block of Harford Road through a kitchen door between Sunday and Monday and stole a purse containing nearly $100.

THEFT: Parkville District -- A compact disc player valued at $400 was stolen from a car parked in the first block of Chesthill Court between Monday and Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered a house in the 400 block of Wake Robin Drive through a rear door after breaking a pane of glass between Monday and Tuesday and stole $200.

HARFORD COUNTY

THEFT: Fallston -- While a 45-year-old Fork woman was shopping in the Acme food market in the 200 block of Bel Air Road Tuesday afternoon, someone stole her purse from her unattended shopping cart. The purse contained $40.
