Workers to donate tips to scholarship

Employees at Domino's Pizza in Eldersburg will donate their tips today to a scholarship fund established in memory of Anthony Omelio.

The 17-year-old Liberty High student was killed early Saturday in a car accident on Cherry Tree Lane. His parents have established the scholarship at the school where their son would have been a senior this fall.

"Tony was a friend of everyone who works here," said Mark Hundertmark, Domino's manager, who helped organize the drive.

Mr. Hundertmark and several employees delivered 7,000 fliers touting the drive to South Carroll homes yesterday.

Four scheduled drivers for the delivery and carry-out business on Liberty Road have pledged all tips, he said.

Mr. Hundertmark said he will also drive, if business warrants it.

The store is collecting contributions from walk-in patrons through Friday.

"We already have a couple hundred dollars," he said.

Information: 795-2400.
