POLICE LOG

Jessup:An unknown suspect stole the license plates off a 1989 Nissan Stanza overnight Wednesday.

Laurel:8200 block of Hammond Branch Way: An unknown suspect stole a $150 portable stereo, a $40 cloth bag, $40 in cash and the driver's license of a woman who had left her red Chrysler Concorde unlocked in front of her house Sunday. The woman's wallet was found in her yard.

9100 block of Bourbon St.: An unknown suspect pried open the front window of a house overnight Friday and stole a purse. Residents of the house were present when the break-in occurred, but told police they heard no noise.

*Guilford: 8700 block of Mission Road: Police reported someone either tried to shoulder or kick open a door of a storehouse between July 31 and Sunday. Nothing was taken.

*Savage: 9500 block of Kings Grant Road: Someone threw a rock into the window of a Ryan Homes model trailer and ransacked the place. Nothing was taken.
