Trespassing charges filed against 2 teens

Two teen-agers were charged with trespassing Tuesday night after police chased one of them through a private golf course in Crofton.

County police said they were checking on a suspicious station wagon parked near the Waldon Town Homes, a development that has been the target of several thefts.

An officer noticed a man running from the homes, and police chased him to the golf course, where they found him lying in tall grass. The incident occurred about 11:40 p.m.

A second teen-ager was found nearby, also hiding in tall grass. The two said they had been partying and drinking beer and that they ran because they knew they were not supposed to be in the area, police said.

Sean H. Quigley, 18, of the 2500 block of Flowering Tree Lane, and Michael T. Swope, 18, of Camden, N.J., were charged with one count each of trespassing.
