Farmers National Bank pays 25-cent dividend

Farmers National Bank of Maryland has reported a quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share for shareholders of record June 30, 1993, payable July 15.

Bank officials credit significant asset growth and a healthy loan portfolio for the company's enhanced financial position.

Severn Visual Services acquires new printer

Severn Visual Services, located in Glen Burnie, recently expanded its imaging capabilities with a Canon ColorQ system, which gives the firm short-run electronic color printing capabilities.

The new printer allows Severn to produce high quality prints of Unix files directly from Macintosh, PC.

Crosby celebrating 20 years in business

Germanos & Reed honors Paul Farthing

Germanos & Reed Inc., a Millersville-based building, designing, and developing firm. has named Paul Farthing Contractors as its Subcontractor of the Year for 1992-1993.

Paul Farthing Contractors, which performed specialized drywall construction and constructed suspended ceilings for Germanos & Reed, was selected from 30 subcontractors on the basis of outstanding workmanship, prompt service and excellence in client relations.

Bay Funding Inc., a lender that provides financing to people who can't qualify for conventional loans, has opened for business in Annapolis near Parole.

The company helps people with poor credit, tax problems or weak cash flow use their home's equity to restore financial stability.

Westinghouse gets Brussels radar job

Westinghouse Electric Corp. has been awarded a contract by Belgium for an air traffic control radar system for the Brussels National Airport.

The Belgium National Airport Authority has contracted with Westinghouse to deliver an ASR-9 airport surveillance radar, a monopulse secondary surveillance radar, electronics supports test equipment and spares.

The system is expected to be operational in a year.

Westinghouse has also been awarded a contract by Deutsche Aerospace of Ulm, Germany, to participate in the concept phase of the German Navy's next-generation surface ship mine countermeasures system.

Westinghouse will provide an underwater sensor system and collaborate with another company for a sediment sonar system.

COBE Marine center opens in Pasadena

COBE Marine & Sports Center recently opened its doors at 8936 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena.

The shop offers a complete engine parts department, marine electronics, hardware, accessories and fishing and hunting equipment.

Ramsearch moves to Priest Bridge Park

Ramsearch Co., a software development firm, has moved to a space at Priest Bridge Business Park in Crofton from College Park.

The firm manufactures software designed to support program managers and engineers in conceptual designs of commercial and military electronics, software, aircraft, ships and automobiles.

The software company was assisted in its move by the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation.

First National opens at Price Club Plaza

First National Bank of Maryland recently opened a new full-service branch at the Price Club Plaza in Glen Burnie.

The bank presented a check for $5,000 to the Cultural Arts Foundation of Anne Arundel County during the opening ceremonies.

The new branch is the 16th full-service First National office located in Anne Arundel County.

Northwoods Restaurant wins DiRoNA award

Northwoods Restaurant has received a DiRoNA award from Distinguished Restaurants of North America, a nonprofit organization which seeks to promote dining excellence.

Northwoods, located in West Annapolis, was cited for exemplifying the highest quality standards in all aspects of the dining experience.

Annapolis Bancshares reports earnings rise

Annapolis Bancshares Inc., parent company of Bank of Annapolis, declared a second quarter cash dividend on common stock of 3 1/2 cents per share payable July 12 to shareholders of record June 21, 1993.

Net income for the quarter totaled $1,643,627, or 37 cents per share, a 23.4 percent increase over earnings in the first quarter of 1993.

The quarter, which ended June 30, was the company's most profitable since its inception in 1989.

The company recently announced the completion of its offering of units to stockholders

The popular sailboat line features small, fast, durable sailboats for the beginner through the most weathered sailor.

Bread Place Bakery now in larger facility

The Bread Place Bakery has moved to Clock Tower Place oForest Drive in Annapolis, from its former location, also on Forest Drive.

The new facility will allow the 12-year-old bakery to increase its capacity and offer a larger variety of products.
