Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 4200 block of Groveland Ave. was walking in the 1800 block of N. Carey St. Tuesday night when a man knocked her to the pavement and stole her purse, which contained a small sum.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who attacked a resident of the 1500 block of W. Fairmount Ave. Tuesday night and then placed a box cutter to her neck and threatened to kill her. The woman escaped without injury.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 3400 block of Woodbrook Ave. through a front window Tuesday night and stole several pieces of property, all of unknown value.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A 13-inch TV and a money order were stolen from a house in the 1200 block of Mulberry St. Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 1500 block of Woodyear St. Tuesday and ransacked several rooms . It was not immediately known what was stolen.

THEFT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who attempted to leave the Farm Fresh store at Mondawmin Mall in the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Tuesday without paying for nearly $20 worth of meat products.

STOLEN CAR: Western District -- A 1985 Buick with Maryland tags PVC619 was stolen from the 2500 block of Mosher St. Tuesday or Wednesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1400 block of Riggs Ave. Wednesday and stole a microwave oven valued at $200.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who drove his car into the front window of the Midas muffler and brake shop in the 3000 block of W. Patapsco Ave. Tuesday and drove off after stealing property of unknown value.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Aisquith St. was in the 1500 block of N. Rosedale St. Tuesday when a gunman robbed her of cash and property, all valued at more than $300.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Towson District -- A man with a handgun robbed the Wawa convenience store in the 6800 block of Falls Road of an undisclosed sum Wednesday. Police said the man was wearing black pants, a black shirt and had a gold tooth in the front of his mouth.

ASSAULT: Wilkens District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Maple Ave. was walking near his home shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday when one of two occupants of a passing blue Ford Ranger pickup truck fired several shots at him. The man was not hit. Later, police found a pickup truck fitting the description of the wanted vehicle at a dairy store near the scene of the shooting and detained its two occupants. The victim of the incident failed to identity the men and they were released without being charged.

ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- A woman was using the 24-hour teller machine near the Super Fresh food store in the 800 block of N. Rolling Road about 6 p.m. Wednesday when a man forced her to withdraw more money while threatening her. The man then forced the woman into her car and told her to drive to another bank machine. Outside a nearby Maryland National Bank, the man told the woman to withdraw more money before he fled with an undisclosed sum.
