POLICE LOG

* Elkridge: 5600 block of Furnace Ave.: Someone entered an unlocked side door and stole a purse between 12:30 a.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.

5600 block of Furnace Ave.: Someone entered a tool shed Sunday or Monday and stole numerous tools.

* Ellicott City: 3800 block of Old Columbia Pike: Someone kicked in a rear screen window between 12:30 p.m. and 12:55 p.m. Monday. Once inside, the intruder ransacked a bedroom. A 20-gauge shotgun, 12-gauge shotgun and a .22-caliber rifle were stolen.

8400 block of Frederick Road: Someone called to report hearing noises at the Original Brass Shoppe about 12:41 a.m. Tuesday. Police believe the intruder entered the building by smashing a window on the south side of the building. The intruder stole a telephone.
