Congregation to help prepare, serve food

Members of Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church will help prepare and serve food Saturday at Carpenter's Kitchen in Baltimore. Baked goods also will be donated.

Parishoners from the Linthicum Heights church prepare and serve the meals twice a year. The church rotates with other United Methodist churches in the project, which is sponsored by Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church.

An evening meal is prepared and served to the homeless every Saturday.

Police seeking man who robbed woman

A man pulled a gun on a woman standing in the 4600 block of Fourth St. in Brooklyn Park at 7:25 p.m. Monday, demanded her money and fled with it.

County police said yesterday the man ran east on Audrey Avenue into Baltimore.

They described the assailant, known as "Apple", as a black man between 25 and 30, between 6 feet 2 inches and 6 feet 4 inches tall with a thin build.

Cardin staffer meets with constituents

A staff member from the office of U.S. Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin, a 3rd District Democrat, is at the Linthicum branch of the public library every Thursday to answer questions and address concerns from constituents.

The staff member is available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the

meeting room at the library, 200 Shipley Road.
