The Crofton Athletic Council will hold its final walk-in registration for football from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Crofton Park concession stand.

Five teams have been established. A child's age as of Dec. 31 and his current weight will be used to determine his team.

The fee for football is $55.

You also will be able to register for fall soccer and soccer cheerleading Saturday.

If you are interested in coaching or need more information about the football program, call football commissioner Pete Glamp at 721-7122 (home) or 793-0410 (work).

* The council is selling cookbooks for $6 each, soccer shorts fo$14, hooded sweat shirts for $18, crew neck sweat shirts for $15 and sweat pants for $14.

* Elections to fill the three vacancies on the council board odirectors and to revise the bylaws will be held Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. at Crofton Town Hall.

The Crofton Chesapeake Toastmasters meets the second and fourth Thursday at 7 p.m. at True Pit Barbecue Restaurant on Route 3 South. Everyone is welcome.

Overeaters Anonymous meets Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church, on Riedel Road at Route 424.

Single Again is seeking items for its 14th annual auction to be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Pasadena American Legion off Carbide Road in Glen Burnie.

Single Again is a support group for people separated or divorced or who have lost their spouse through death.

Donations can include bikes of all sizes, televisions, radios, tools, books, hardware, household goods, lawn mowers and antiques.
