Man sought in string of indecent exposures

Howard County police are investigating a series of indecent exposure incidents in Oakland Mills in recent weeks.

The suspect, who has been seen about six times since late June, is described as a black male in his 20s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a slim build. He was reported exposing himself and sometimes peeking into bedroom windows.

Witnesses in each case describe the suspect as nude except for a cap or other piece of clothing on his head.

The incidents have occurred in a two to three block radius, according to police reports.

The latest incident occurred just after 2 a.m. on Friday in the 9600 block of White Acre Road, when the man was seen waving to a woman as she entered her apartment building.

On Tuesday, the suspect exposed himself to people walking on a bike path behind Oakland Mills High School in the 9400 block of Kilimanjaro Road.

On July 25, he was seen looking into a rear bedroom window of a residence in the 5600 block of Stevens Forest Road, police said.

On the same stretch of road last Saturday the suspect was seen naked in the lot of a Chevron gas station.

On June 25 a man fitting a similar description entered a Royal Farms Store on Stevens Forest Road with only a pair of shorts on his head, police said.

Anyone with information on these incidents should call Howard County police at 313-2266.
