Man, teen-age girl face drug charges in raid Marijuana, cocaine seized by police

Howard County drug detectives arrested a 40-year-old Harper's Choice man and a 16-year-old girl, and confiscated marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia in a raid late Thursday.

Murray Knight Graves of the 5800 block of Harpers Farm Road was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Mr. Graves was being held at the Howard County Detention Center on $10,000 bail Friday afternoon.

The juvenile was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was released into her parents' custody, court officials said.

At 11 p.m. Thursday, members of the county police Street Drug Section searched the residence in the Rideout Heath development and seized 2 1/2 pounds of marijuana, about $1,500 in cash, pagers, hand-rolled cigarettes, packaging material, several paper folds of cocaine and a marijuana plant, police said.
