Braves pound Suns, 7-0

HAGERSTOWN -- Kevin Grijak hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to lead the Macon Braves over the Hagerstown Suns, 7-0, in a Single-A South Atlantic League game last night. Grijak went 3-for-5 with the homer, a single and a double.

Bobby Smith (2-for-4) hit a two-run triple in the eighth, as Macon sent 10 batters to the plate and pushed the score to 7-0.

The Suns (23-14) managed only four hits, three off starter Jason Butler (1-2), who went eight innings for the win. Trevor Mallory (6-8) gave up three runs on six hits in seven innings for the loss.
