Delivery man beaten, robbed after bread stop at restaurant

A Delaware man who had just finished delivering bread to a Linthicum restaurant was knocked unconscious and robbed of an undetermined amount of money yesterday, county police said.

The truck driver, John Boulden, 41, of Wilmington, suffered a facial cut, but refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.

Police said he was attacked from behind shortly before 2 p.m. while in the 800 block of Nursery Road.

His assailant was described as a man in his late 30s, who hit him on the back of his head with an unknown object.
