Md. board OKs $18,750 for Hampstead parks

The Maryland Board of Public Works announced Wednesday that it would authorize the spending of $18,750 for improvements in two parks in Hampstead.

The expenditure will reimburse the town for improvements already made at the North Carroll Farms Park and the Chief Sites Memorial Park. Those improvements include the installation of playground equipment and the planting of trees and shrubs.

The money will come from Program Open Space, part of the state Department of Natural Resources.
