David A. Brehm, of the first block of Pennsylvania Ave., was taken to Carroll County General Hospital after complaining of neck and back pain, Westminster police said.

Investigators said the boy was riding a 10-speed bicycle southbound on Mathias Lane and failed to stop before entering the intersection at Milton Avenue.

The youth's bicycle crashed into the driver's side of a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice traveling eastbound on Milton Avenue. The car was driven by Edna M. Drechler, 55, of the 600 block of Gahle Court.

No charges were placed against the driver of the automobile, Pfc. Misty Runkles said.
