No serious injuries reported in crash

Medic units were called but no serious injuries were reported from an accident that occurred at 11:55 p.m. Saturday at Sykesville Road near Deer Park Road.

State police said that John Edward Morningstar, 17, of Winchester Drive in Westminster, drove a car onto Sykesville Road from a gravel driveway and into the path of another car, driven by Ricky Eugene Calhoun Jr., also 17, of Bachman Valley Road in Westminster.

POLICE

* Westminster: A resident of Willis Street told police someone stole a $125 bicycle from a storage shed at the rear of his house Sunday.

FIRE

* Reese: Westminster and Reese responded to a fire alarm on Old Westminster Pike at 7:38 a.m. Friday. Units were out for three minutes.

* Westminster: Engines from the Westminster station responded for a car fire on Charles Street at 8:20 p.m. Sunday. Units were out for 18 minutes.

Westminster responded to wires on fire on West Main Street at 12:24 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 20 minutes.

Westminster and Reese responded to a fire alarm on West Main Street at 5:29 a.m. Saturday. Units were out for 30 minutes.

Westminster and Reese responded to a fire alarm on North Center Street at 3:07 p.m. Friday. Units were out for two minutes.

Westminster and Pleasant Valley responded to a rescue on Business Parkway South at 11:21 a.m. Friday. Units were out for 30 minutes.
