Sure, the thermometer seems stuck on 90, but some folks already have their eye on the fall.

Organizers are firming up plans for the Arundel Fall Craft Fair scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 9 rain or shine at Arundel High School.

Spaces are available for handcrafted items. The Arundel High School Band will sell food in the cafeteria, and Key Club members will provide child care for children ages 1-6 in the Kids Room.

Spaces can be reserved for $20 before Sept. 15, $25 thereafter.

Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church is celebrating a milestone -- the welcoming of its 100th member.

Breaking the 100-member barrier is a significant step toward becoming a self-sufficient congregation.

Ark and Dove is a mission church of the Presbytery of Baltimore in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. and is supported by the five other Presbyterian congregations in the county.

The church began worshiping in December 1991 at Odenton Elementary School and now worships at Arundel Crossing West, 1350 Blair Drive, just off Route 175 in Odenton.

Congregation have plans to build a church on their property on Piney Orchard Parkway just south of Odenton Baptist Church.

The O'Malley Senior Center, 1275 Odenton Road, will present a program on memory from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Aug. 2.

Psychologist William O'Donnell will discuss our ability to remember and offer suggestions to help us cope with the changes in our thought processes. He'll also answer questions.

Jim's Hideaway is sponsoring a golf tournament on Aug. 17 at the Fort Meade Golf Course. The cost is $50 and includes greens fees, a cart, prizes, food, beer and sodas.
