WBAL's Salters wins honors for TV segments

July 27, 1993

Alisa Salters, a reporter for WBAL-TV (Channel 11), received a National Association of Black Journalists award for international reporting.

Ms. Salters won the award for a segment titled "Sorrow in Somalia. She also won the hard features award for a report titled "Reading, Writing, and Running Drugs."

The awards were presented at the association's annual convention in Houston last week.
