Alfonzo sparks Baysox to 3-2 win

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Edgar Alfonzo's double in the eighth inning scored T. R. Lewis to give the Bowie Baysox a 3-2 victory over the Binghamton Mets in a Double-A Eastern League game yesterday.

The Baysox trailed 2-0 in the seventh before Alfonzo hit his fifth home run, a bases-empty shot.

In the eighth, Brad Tyler walked and scored on a triple by Lewis. After Stanton Cameron struck out, Alfonzo doubled home the winning run.

Terry Farrar (6-2) pitched seven innings for his fifth straight victory.
